Jazzybirds, one of the most popular jazz bands in Transylvania, whose debut album appeared two years ago, are back with a new formula and a new album On The Road that will be officially released on April 23 in Bucharest, and will be followed by a national tour.
In Cluj Napoca the concert will be held on April 26th, at 8 pm in the Great Hall of the Hungarian Opera. On April 27th, following launch in Targu-Mures, in Oradea on the 28th, May 5th in Arad, May 8th in Hunedoara, and May 13th in Timişoara.
There are important changes in the repertor from the first album, Birth, meaning that currently Jazzybirds only plays new compositions what belong to Dominic. The album overall fits the type soft-jazz where alongside jazzy improvisations small inroads towards rock and openness to pop are not lacking, through songs that could easily become hits, even if they have a complex structure in terms of composition, arrangements, and interpretation.
Composed of artists from the Hungarian Opera, the new formula that recorded the album at SoftRecords is: Andras Szep – piano, backing vocals; Attila Antal – double bass, bass guitar; Dominic Csergő – drums, percussion, backing vocals; Krisztina Koncz – vocals, backing vocals. Musicians invited: Sebastian Burneci – trumpet; Paolo Profeti – saxophone, flute; Florian Radu – trombone; Bálint Szép, Renata Dimen, Renate Gebe-Run – violin, Edina Tifani – viola, Kristóf Jakabffy – cello, Felix Mircea Moldovan – percussion / ukulele, Nick Fagadar – acoustic guitar, Mihnea Blidariu – devilish bartender voice.
